Yvonne Bocman

Yvonne Bocman is a Sydney-based theatre director, writer and performer with a strong focus on youth-led storytelling and original musical work. In 2025, she created and directed three original productions for the Short + Sweet Festival, including The Therapist, which received the Judges’ Choice Award. Her work spans original plays and musical theatre, including Modern Love, a self-composed musical in which she also directed and performed. Yvonne has facilitated sold-out monthly poetry workshops for self-expression at her local library, welcoming participants of all ages, and has coached HSC drama students in performance and character development. She is also a Cagefight Improv Comedy Showcase winner, bringing strong ensemble awareness, comedic timing and adaptability to her creative leadership.

With formal musical theatre training and ongoing vocal development, Yvonne brings high-energy collaboration, musical sensitivity and a strong commitment to empowering performers to find their voice on stage.
